Aldergrove Manor is a 70 bedded purpose built Care Home situated in the Penn area of Wolverhampton close to shops and public transport is easily accessible as the bus route runs past the end of the driveway. We care for service users that have specialised care needs including general residential care, dementia care, respite care and palliative care.

At Aldergrove we have a range of well-equipped bedrooms some with garden views and choice of spacious lounge areas including a quiet lounge overlooking the gardens.

Select Healthcare provides care for people with residential, dementia, mental health or social care needs. Our specialist Nursing teams offer professional advice and residential care for individuals on a long term or respite basis whilst recovering from a significant health issue.

End of Life Care

End of Life care (also known as Palliative care) is the care of residents with significant health needs and incurable conditions.

Our home manager and her team of staff follow nationally recognised guidelines working with all professional agencies for delivering the highest standard of care and support to those at the end of their lives.

Our staff are provided with on-going opportunities for learning and development to ensure that the care they give is not only the kindest possible, but is also delivered from a sound, professional knowledge base.

Working with our residents, their families and friends, GP’s and Community Nurses our multi-disciplinary teams provide 24 hour care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Select Healthcare specialist End of Life care includes:

  • A holistic approach with psychological and emotional support for our residents involving their families and friends
  • Knowing, understanding and respecting residents wishes from the outset and when their health starts to deteriorate
  • Spiritual care addressing the spiritual and religious needs of residents and families
  • Practical support and advice from our dedicated and caring staff
  • Symptom support and pain control

Dementia Specialist Care 

Our specialist Dementia care facility is tailored to ensure comfort and familiarity for those living with memory and cognitive losses.

Our staff are provided with on-going opportunities for learning and development to ensure that the care they give is not only the kindest possible, but is also delivered from a sound, professional knowledge base.

Care is individualised and based on a person’s life history with involvement and support from their families and friends creating a homely atmosphere and person centred care using renaissance. Our main objectives is for the home to achieve the Butterfly model for Dementia care.

Our living areas, corridors, dining and bathroom facilities are adapted to aid recognition and maximise ability.
