About Select

At Select Healthcare Group, we’ve been providing high-quality, person-centred care for nearly four decades.

As a proud family-run organisation, our journey began in the mid-1980s under the leadership of Roy Bernard, whose passion for care and extensive experience continue to shape our values today.

About Us

Compassionate Care, Tailored to Every Need

Over the years, we’ve grown steadily, both through organic development and strategic acquisitions into a trusted provider across England and Wales. Despite our growth, we’ve stayed true to our roots, with a leadership team that has been with us since day one, offering consistency, sector expertise, and a shared commitment to the people we support.

Our homes offer a wide and balanced range of specialist services, including support for individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and acquired brain injuries, as well as residential and nursing care for older adults. This diversity allows us to meet a broad spectrum of complex care needs in a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment.

We work closely with local authorities and commissioners, ensuring our services align with local priorities and always place the wellbeing and choices of our residents at the heart of what we do.

“At Select Healthcare, we believe in delivering care with purpose and integrity. Our goal is always to enhance lives, not just provide support. None of this would be possible without our dedicated staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and day-to-day commitment are the heartbeat of our homes, and we’re incredibly proud of the difference they make every single day.”

Overall Experience: 5.0 out of 5 My wife was sent to Royal Park after being discharged from the hospital after suffering a severe stroke in July 2024. I cannot praise the staff enough they treated her with the utmost respect and dignity and they were always happy to share a joke with her. Physios and therapists were excellent in the treatment they gave her and always willing to engage with th…

Since I have been here, I have been very happy and well looked after.  This is a good place to live and provides good quality care for all the re…

Kerry Lay the Manager has turned this home around since she was appointed, well maintained, gardens delightful. Select group should be very proud of what she has achieved. Residents are so much happier.

I have been working with you since April 2020. Unfortunately I am leaving this position for a new challenge. I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I have enjoyed working at Jubilee Court. It has been a great work p…

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Aldergrove Manor I would go as far as to say they have been a big part in extending the life of my Nan.  My Nan was placed there from hospital without any consultation with family and we all, including my Nan, were concerned as we didn’t know anything about the home or anyone there.  Our concerns were quickly neg…

I would like to thank Aldergrove Manor care home for the care that my Nan is receiving. She is 98 years old and, unfortunately, could no longer live in her own home, due to the start of dementia. She is settling in so well, we are very happy that when she goes out for the day she always asks when she is going home referring to Aldergrove. The care she receives is second to none, staff go out …
