Aldergrove Manor Testimonial 06/07/17
Jeanette Jarvis (Manager) and Aldergrove Manor offered our Mum a care package that we couldn’t find elsewhere in Wolverhampton.
As a dual registered home providing both nursing and residential care, Aldergrove Manor enabled Mum’s rehabilitation to continue after she had suffered a serious stroke. We were met with positive attitudes and support from the outset in order to help Mum move forward. The environment of the home is very conducive to on-going recovery enabling eg carrying out NHS provided physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
Aldergrove has a pleasant airy, clean and homely environment, is nicely furnished and has a lovely garden that is put to good use by the residents. Mums says the foods is not bad either!
All the senior staff, (carers and nursing) have quickly understood and been responsive to Mum’s needs and have maintained a professional manner throughout. As have the carers who have been very enthusiastic and keen to help in the process of her continued recovery. They have supported our family members in being able to be directly involved in many aspects of Mum’s care. This has resulted in us feeling more confident that we will be able to manage Mum’s care when she returns home.
Mum has said that the carers are very kind and they have encouraged her a lot. She says that she has felt looked after during her stay at Aldergrove. The caring and nursing staff, together with the ancillary and support staff, such as the administrator, activities manager, cleaning, catering, wardrobe and site maintenance, have all helped Mum to work towards coming home. Our family members have all been made welcome at the home and we would like to thank all of the Aldergrove team very much for all of their help.
