Hilcote Hall
Dear Michelle and all the staff at Hilcote Hall,
Thanks you so much for all that you did to care for our mother. You all contributed in small or large ways to help her and my family we will never forget the kindness and throughfulness that you demonstrated day after day.
It is impossible to mention each and every one of you by name but you all know who did what and so I am afraid a blanket thank you has to suffice. Caring professionally is a difficult career and the demands are great but somehow you all managed to do it and cope with Mom's high dependency needs in a genuine caring manner. Some carers becamse her extended family and she gave hugs and kisses to them and they to her. It was extremely touching to see and it gave us the continued confidence to leave our vulnerable Mother in your care.
Mom was at Hilcote Hall for four and a half years and in that time, the standard of care changed beyond recognition. All my family are aware that with Michelle's arrival, new standards were set and as a consequence of that my Mother's care improved dramatically and we no longer felt we had to visit daily to check on her. You should all feel very proud of Hilcote Hall that exists today and what you have all achieved. You all made a difference both to our Mother and to our family.
I hope you will receive Mom's flowers as arranged with the funeral directors and you will remember her because we will always remember you all, for everything you did and everything you said that helped her and my family particularly in the last few months and days.
Finally, we will all miss coming to the 'home.' It has been part of our routine and daily lives for some years. We have had some happy times with you all and we will no doubt miss seeing you all but it is likely that we won't come again, I am sure you will understand. We all wish Hilcote Hall and all of you all the very best for the future.
Bless your hearts,
N Grainger and family
