Oak Farm Clinic Care Home

Oak Farm Clinic is a purpose built 32 bedded unit which provides a comprehensive service to clients recovering from acquired brain injury and neurological disorders. All areas are accessible by wheelchair and the home offers a diverse range of specialised treatment and activity facilities. Oak Farm Clinic is located in Taverham, approximately 5 miles from the bustling city of Norwich with easy access to all major motorways and rail routes.

The care provided is flexible and the care package is needs led, to ensure effective rehabilitation. Care is delivered through a multidisciplinary team comprising of registered nurses, medical practitioners, rehabilitation assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists and a consultant neurologist.

The staff that work permanently on the Unit are suitably qualified and are well supported by a rolling in-house training programme as well as National Vocational Qualification training, along with regular supervision. Specialists in the area of neurology and acquired brain injury from outside the unit are also regularly invited to participate in the staff training programmes.

We are committed to partnership and working with agencies in the statutory and non-statutory organisations and engage proactively with our stakeholders to ensure that the care and the needs of our service users are never compromised.

We regard each of our service users as an individual, and through understanding their unique needs, personality and medical history, we strive to promote a programme of rehabilitation with healthy outcomes that enhance their quality of life. In addition, we consistently aim to maintain the dignity and self-respect of our service users, even in the face of challenging behaviours, which can be a feature of acquired brain injury.
