Residents, families and staff had a great time at the open day of Hilcote Hall Care Home near Eccleshall.

Despite the inclement weather, nothing stopped people at Hilcote Hall Care Home enjoying the open day on Saturday.

The care home is part of the Select Healthcare Group and specialises in caring for people with dementia.

Michelle Burton, manager, said: "Residents, families and staff all enjoyed a great day which included a BBQ and cake stall in Hilcote's new sensory garden - this having been completed recently involving lots of time and hard work by myself, Ian Brewis from Staffordshire Police and working with local young offenders."
