A Very Special Birthday at Greenleighs Nursing Home

There were 101 good reasons to party at Greenleigh Nursing Home recently. Mary Timmins, the oldest resident of a Black Country nursing home, celebrated her 101st birthday in style after staff threw her a tea party and arranged for singers to come and entertain the guests.

Manager Joy Lappage said: “We had a great time at the party. Mary likes listening to music, so we brought in entertainment for the afternoon. Mary is absolutely lovely and all the staff love her.”

Mary moved into the nursing home with her sister, Emily, in December 2013.
