The Company:

The Select Healthcare Group is a family run business that was founded in the 1980’s with just one residential care home. About the home:

Beech Tree is a purpose built Nursing and Residential Care Home situated near Basingstoke in the quiet village called Overton. We have 53 beds over 3 Floors.

Beech Tree is a well-equipped home, accommodating residents with nursing and residential care needs with a highly professional team and superb links with other healthcare professionals. The home is accessible throughout and spread over three floors, the residential top floor having been refurbished and reopened in October 2017.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the well-being of our residents, including making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met
  • Lead, motivate and mentor your team and provide clinical guidance and training to ensure the safe, smooth and efficient running of the care home
  • Carry out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each of our service users
  • Essential nursing tasks and duties including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions
  • Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation
  • Promote our service users independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and strive for continuous improvement
  • Communicate and liaise with other professionals involved in the well being and care of our residents. As well as family members and other staff members

Experience required:

  • Qualified Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
  • UK PIN number
  • Enthusiastic and dynamic
  • Professional and compassionate
  • Work within the NMC code of Practice
  • Computer literate
  • Motivated to work within a multidisciplinary setting
  • Able to work flexible shift patterns
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
