About the home:

Oak Court is a purpose built care home situated in Taverham, Norfolk that provides en-suite accommodation for 18 residents with neurological conditions. The home is designed for individuals with a physical disability or neurological condition.

Responsibilities

• Working with the kitchen assistant to prepare meals
• Follow meal plans
• You will be required to work with the kitchen assistant to ensure that the kitchen is clean and tidy throughout the day in accordance with Environmental Health requirements
• You will need to record refrigerator, chiller and freezer temperatures in accordance with Environmental Health requirements
• Good understanding of budgets

Experience

• Previous experience as a Cook in a residential/nursing home is essential
• Previous experience cooking for a large group of residents
• Previous experience with ordering food/managing budgets
• Previous catering experience in a similar environment
• Knowledge of special dietary requirements would be an advantage
• Relevant qualifications in Food Safety and Hygiene standards and Health and Safety
