Brain injuries can dramatically alter the lives of the injured person and their loved ones who care for them. At Select Healthcare, we understand that people with brain injuries need very specialised support and equipment and in our Brain Injury Units, we provide 24-hour care to people who have suffered varying types of brain injuries such as:

Acquired Brain Injuries - Also called an ABI, this type of brain injury is acquired after birth and can occur as a result of a stroke, infections, drug and alcohol abuse or tumours to name a few.

Traumatic Brain Injury - A TBI or traumatic brain injury is usually a result of a violent blow to the head or the head coming into contact with an object violently. This can be in the form of a car accident or an assault for example.

Neurological Disorders - Select Healthcare residential care homes for brain injuries and also care for people with conditions like Cerebral palsy and Muscular Dystrophy.
