Mental Health Care Kent
Select Healthcare Kent has homes for adults suffering with a mental health illness offering long term and where possible short term placements. This could be people who suffer from psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias, addiction and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Most people who experience Mental illness have short term, acute episodes and are able to return to living a 'normal life'. However, some people suffer from long term enduring or chronic Mental illness which can affect their ongoing functioning, behaviour, social and life skills and general independence.
The Mental Health Care provided is flexible and the care package is needs-led, to ensure structured and effective rehabilitation. Care is delivered through a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of registered nurses, care staff, occupational therapists and psychologists. Select Healthcare Kent prides itself on creating a homely environment with emphasis on social interaction and regular activities to stimulate the mind and body.
